I've been linked!! Regina has had me on her page for a while (my "real" website, she hasn't linked my bloggy) but now Richard has linked my blog (not my real site). Just tryin' to throw big Brother off the track. They're coming to get me! Yesterday was really fun. We spent most of the day in either Kristen's car or Richard's.... But the highlight was going to Pike Place. Wow, I love Seattle. I don't care about the rain or the "traffic" (go to Houston, wussies, and stop complaining!!) but when I go to downtown I get all starry-eyed. I went to Pike Place with Regina and Kristen and Stephanie. The three of them were being rather indecisive, so when I suggested where to go I felt kind of pushy... But if I hadn't we would all just be standing there on the sidewalk, shrugging our shoulders at each other. The hoodlum's dilemma. "Wha'dyoo wanna do?" "I 'unno. Wha'dyoo wanna do?" But it was very fun. My favorite place is still the fish market; it's so lively! Of course, the smell of dead fish isn't so pleasant. But the atmosphere, people! And I still haven't gone into the Jade store. "House of Jade" or something? I love jade, but I'm too chicken to go in because it's probably expensive. I don't want to scare myself. I found out that I'm going to have to pay for my own birthday present. :) I still haven't bought anything with my credit card (I'm old-fashioned, it's just easier to deal with cash. Give 'em the money and run). So, my parents are going to have me pick out what I want, I pay for it (with my credit card) and they'll flip the bill. Cool. Thank you Kristen, Regina and Bin for letting us stay, it was really fun!!! :) You were so nice, I'm coming back. bwahahahaha!! Next time, don't be quite so nice. ;) Well, I'm going to try to get some painting done (finally). I've been waiting two months for this day!

Okay now that I have waited more than five minutes between each blog, I have some more interesting stuff to write about.
First of all, for all of you who eat canned fish MAKE SURE IT SAYS "BONELESS" ON THE LABEL!! I ate a salmon sandwich the other day and I still wonder if I could have put the whole fish back together again. (I found 6 vertebrate bones.)
Secondly, I've been unpacking all my things from moving back home and that also required cleaning out drawers because I needed space to put all my junk. So among this, I found a letter we had to write in my US Gov't class last year. Just to show you how bored out of my skull I was, here's the letter.
To Mr. Bush- I think you are a big Stupid Head. You're just taking up space in the Oval Office-valuable space, too, seeing as there's this energy crisis (that you're too lazy to address). However, I'm not writing this to shed light on the fact that you own the intelligence level of a squid. I'm writing this to raise your awareness on a very controversial issue: animal testing. Frankly, I believe it's cruel. Now back to your insectile intelligence. ... Actually I believe this issue has been pretty much exhausted in the papers. You should learn to read and then find out what they say. You look like a baboon. Sincerely-- Andrea Repetto, PhD (Something you'll never know about, squidbrain.)
By the way, for anyone who's for GW, I don't really think all this bad stuff about G-Dub. I think this kind of stuff about all politicians. Enough about politics, it's stupid. I found out something really cool about my "Heritage" last night. I was rummaging through books in our shelves and I found a book written by my great-grandfather. I had already known of the existence of this book, but apparently no one in my immediate family had bothered to read it! In the very first pages of the introduction, it included a picture of him and also a short history of who he was and where he came from. I found out that Charles Wiener (don't laugh, it means "from Vienna" and is pronounced "Vee-eh-ner" and you roll the "r" all cool-like), my great-grandfather was the missing link in how and why my dad's side of the family went from Austria to Peru in the late 1800's. Apparently, Charles Wiener was a linguist, philosopher, ethnologist and... drum-roll... archaeologist. (awe and shock ripples through the crowd) Well I'll be gosh-darned! I also learned, *drum roll*... that his most fluent language was french. (awe and shock ripples through the crowd yet again) So yeah. Apparently the family came over (from Austria, remember) because he was really interested in the Incan culture of Peru, so he went on a few digs. I didn't read the whole thing because it was all in Spanish and I haven't read Spanish in a long time, but I can assume that he simply never went back to Austria and just raised his family there. But I just have a few things to sort out. First of all, our copy of the book had been translated from Italian. What on earth?? Yeah he was a linguist, but his most fluent languages were German, French and (I'm assuming) Spanish. Where did he get the time to learn Italian profusely enough to write a whole book on it?? I mean, this book is as big as a dictionary! So I guess it was translated from either French or German to Italian and then to Spanish. Anyway, this was a big discovery for me because I honestly know next to nothing about my history. We don't have those "your great-great-great-...-great grandfather/mother came to America in such and such year from this far-off land" because I'm first-gen US. So yeah, it was cool. And my dad made a joke that this archaeology/paleontology stuff skipped quite a few generations. I told him it must have gotten distorted from the long fall and turned into... um... me. Haha, no turned into paleontology. Well, that's all for now. Wow my longest post yet! Oh wait! Stephanie sent me an e-mail saying she felt special and famous because I mentioned her on my website (which is freely accessible to any hacker, so therefore, could potentially be known throughout the world), so I'm mentioning you again! Stephanie you're great!! You're going to get discovered and become rich and famous!!! (for-real famous, not blog-famous). Oh and since I still feel bad that Jess wasn't mentioned in my friends page because she doesn't have a website, I'll mention her again, too. Love ya Jess!!!
