A pretty uneventful day. But I'm posting because my dad just came home and I have the strangest instinct to tie up the computer as long as I possibly can, causing me to get physically dragged off, literally kicking and screaming. Well, for anyone who's oh-so-interested in my Tomagotchi story, he restarted himself in the car today. I just heard it go "beeeeeep!!", I look, and he's an egg again. So then he hatched again and about 3 hours later I realized I set the built-in clock wrong (a.m. instead of p.m.) so I had to restart him. Again. Currently, he is bouncing happily on the screen. Also, my mom called this blog my "blop-glob-glop thing, whatever it is".

A few things happened today. First I revived my Tomagotchi; don't know if any of you remember it, a beastly little creature. Well I found it in the attic the other day among things I'm going to send off to the Children's Hospital and decided to revive it. One of the screws on the back for the battery compartment was rusted, but with a little patience I got the back open. The batteries hadn't corroded at least. So today I went and bought new batteries and new eyeglass screws and cleaned the inside. So, it's alive! It keeps yelling at me for one thing or another. On a more interesting note, we got a suspicious package in the mail. It was from a company, and the address was ours, but it was addressed to the wrong person. It was in a small yellow padded envelope, but it was really heavy. I kept thinking it was a bomb, or a highly advanced form of anthrax or something. So I opened it (carefully), and inside was a Palm Pilot case, with the Palm Pilot included. Also inside the case was a driver's license, some cash, a few credit cards.... Ooo, not good. On the driver's license was our address. Very strange, but at least in explained why the package was sent to us. I looked in the yellow envelope again and there was a note explaining that the whole caboodle had been found in at a gas station, unattended. I looked inside the Pilot case--where all the loot was--to see if there were any more forms of ID-ing this lady. Since there weren't, I turned on the Palm Pilot and by pure luck, it was open to her address book section. I don't think I could have found it by myself, and I would have felt guilty looking through all her stuff. So I looked up her name and there was her work number! Hooray! So we gave her a call and we sorted everything out. As it turns out, she's related to the people who lived in this house before us, so that's why our address appeared on her driver's license. Well, it's not a very good explanation, bu that's the one she gave us, and it's not our business anyway. In other news, I've updated my website, check it out!

I feel so proud! Someone commented on my page!! Thanks Gina, it makes my blog feel all traffic-y. Okay the other day, I went downstairs because I was bored and wanted to see what my dad was watching on TV. He was watching the World Cup, Spain vs Korea. Unfair! Spain scored at least 4 FAIR goals (that I saw... I came in late. He said they'd scored more) and Korea scored, uummm ZERO and Korea won on penalties! How does that work? the referee was blind, that's how. That's the only way I can figure it. Plus since the match was played in Korea, of course the stadium was filled with Koreans cheering for their team, which is all fine and dandy until they collectively booed Spain. Which would also be fine and dandy until Spain scored 4 goals and Korea didn't put any in. GRR ARGH RAR ARR. rrr. Anyway on a lighter note, I went to see two movies yesterday, Minority Report and Lilo & Stitch (HA, Gina!!). They were both better than I expected. I expected both to be "typical", but Minority Report wasn't a typical futuristic movie and Lilo and Stitch wasn't the typical poo that Disney has been churning out lately.
