Bored...

I'm listening to Blur, "Song 2". I can only understand the following four lines: "It wasn't easy.../But nothing i-is..." and "It's not my problem.../It's not my problem..!" (both of which are actually only little parts of the whole, unintelligible verse) and "Woo-hoo!" and and "Yeah-yeah!" But it's still such a cool song! Oh it's over now. Now it's Beck, "Loser". And yes, these are all pirated, very illegal songs I'm playing on my little mp3 player.
Work was cool because first Ron was completely absent, and then Liz decided she had had enough of the week and she went home early (around 2:00). So I sat, twiddling my thumbs for a little while before Kim appeared and we walked and talked, but she had to call someone so I left. I walked down to the University Bookstore and threw away some money. I got myself a box of pencils and a few blenders (not the food blenders.... only an artist would understand! haha no I'm kidding. They're little paper things that you use to blend sharp pencil lines).
No one's on AIM!! Someone come online and talk to me!
Anyway, back to posting...
I ran into Gina!! I saw the apartment! But I missed both Bin and Kristen. Bin was at work and Kristen was galavanting, as far as I know. What is ironic (if anyone has checked out the comments on yesterday's post), is that I actually cancelled on Bin because I realized I wouldn't be able to go for lunch at 11:00 (I usually go at noon, and sometimes even that is too early). Well, luckily, I was right; I wasn't able to go for lunch until 12:30, which is when I ran into Gina. She was going back to the apartment, so I said I'd follow her so we could walk and talk and then I could run errands (I didn't want to intrude), but she ended up letting me stay all hour! :) Yay! So we got to catch up.
Dinner time!

I've updated a few links on the left--I've added the college that Jess goes to and the college in California that Stephanie's looking forward to going to. (I tried out the New York one you gave me, Stevie, but it doesn't work; try it out again!) Anyway I did that because they don't have blogs or websites and I wanted to include something about them that represents who they are.
I also added the BMW website above the Volkswagen website (love those German cars...) and I rearranged the list so that the Burke Museum is on top. I didn't think it would be appropriate to have the place I work at and look up to, buried under "The Onion" and the "Darwin Awards".
Also, I'm still reading Les Misérables. This is not going as quickly as, say, Vittorio the Vampire or Dolores Claiborne. But I'm now about halfway through. For those of you familiar with the story, Jean Valjean has just rescued Cosette. It's such a sweet part in the story!! She doesn't know who he is, but she trusts him completely and now his "heart has adopted her". The best part was where they were fleeing and she fell asleep on his shoulder. Awww! I'm such a softie.
It's so nice being able to use our deck now! We have dinner out there everytime the weather is nice now. And luckily, the weather has been beautiful lately. The other day, a spider was trying to build a web on our table, and I was fascinated with it.... Well, I eventually had to relocate it.
Also, I want to add that research at the Burke is going very well. I hope they pay me during the school year, too... (cross your fingers!) But, even if I'm not paid, I will be returning.

Not much to talk about.
I could talk about work, but it's Top Secret. And even if it wasn't Top Secret, it would be really boring to everyone. ...Except for me! Other than work, I've been "getting back to my roots": Star Wars!! Also, I ran into the ending of the Usual Suspects on TV. You know, a second time around, it really seems like a crappy movie now. It seemed really cool, the first time. Well, maybe it's the unexpected ending.
Speaking of movies, I'm (eventually) going to see Austin Powers with Stevie! It was supposed to be last saturday but we were both busy. (She with her things, and I needed to help finish the deck, which we finished that day.)
