Another eventful week/weekend. It turns out that I got gyped twice over. I can't take the spanish class because of a time conflict after all, nor can I take heiroglyphics. So I've signed up for I&S credit: Intro to Ethics. Which sounds level interesting, but still. How sad. I especially feel sad that I can't take the spanish. I hope I can still keep in touch with the people afterwards.
Now, as for the weekend, I was feeling bored, so I called Michelle up. She said it was okay to come over, so long story short, I called Kristen too and we all watched The Scarlet Pimpernel. After the movie, the three of us wandered about the Ave. We stopped at the Starbucks since it was the most interesting thing open at the time (it was already 9:30 I think. Maybe 9). We stood around kindo f bored and went back to Kristen's. After Kristen's, we walked Michelle back to her apartment. Kristen wanted to look for Bin because now that Michelle had gone back to her place, no one could walk the other one to her place because it was dark and one would have to walk back alone.
Looking for Bin required to go back to McMahon. On the way we had an adventure in itself. We were walking up the stair to the overhead pedestrian bridge from Schmitz and there was this person standing there. She had on this HUGE white wig though; this was a very tall human being to begin with, and the wig was about as tall as her torso. And it was pure white curls. Very... Marie Antoinette. She was wearing a snazzy black sparkly evening dress with a smooth, chic white overcoat that went to the knees and black satin shoes. Very swanky. As we reached the top of the steps, we heard that she was talking on the cell phone and she... was a he!! It was hilarious! After that, Kristen and I headed to the Music building to look for an open room with a piano, but we didn't have any luck.
So when we got to McMahon, we found Bin through some very clever manipulating of web info. After we got the phone number, we called the guy cluster on the other tower where she was and she came over. Bin, Kristen, Chin, Herman and I went to a Chinese restaurant and talked over delicious food. Then we all walked Kristen back to her place and the group (minus Kristen, including Bin) walked back to McMahon and Bin stayed the night in my dorm. So I was up until 1:30, but I couldn't fall sleep til 2. Then I got up at 8:00, took a shower, got ready and went to the Burke for Dino Day and had a blast. Since it was pretty slow this year, I spent quite a bit of time socializing with the other paleontologists (mostly Ron, Maureen, Kim, Tom, Bella and ... I forgot her name). Since Tom has recently parted ways with Kellie, he was being annoyingly flirty, especially to me because of the single ones of the group, he knew me the best. Poor guy, he got quite an ego-bashing whenever he even tried to say anything to me. I'm not going to even pretend to be interested with him in that state! Bwahahaha, I kept my head though. He fences, so touche for me! Liz visted, and she also deflated him a little: when he boasted to her that he'd been flirting with us, she said "oh, well you've been having a good day, but maybe you better ask how the girls feel." Hahaha, thanks Liz!
Anyway, my parents visted me so we got some Bubble Tea on the Ave then came back to the Burke and ate at the café. Then when I came back, they went through the exhibit and saw everything. The Totem Poles is a pretty well-done exhibit, apparently. After they left, Bin visited me. I was wandering around, and she had been following me! She nearly gave me a heart attack when I realized it was her, so when I turned around I immediately whacked her on the shoulder by instinct. In retrospect, I hope I didn't cause too much of a commotion in the room. Not that there were many people there.... Ron gave it away because he had this huge grin on his face, and he's usually one of those really quiet, level-headed guys. Bin met Liz and Kim.
Let's see: to-do list for the end of the weekend. Burn CD for spanish, write paper (also for spanish), work on project (for... guess-what-class), hopefully work on Chem.
Check out Juanes, a Colombian rock singer. Very bouncy music. Kind of Enrique Iglesias-y, but better. Click on "A Dios Le Pido" when you get to the website.

Oh man what an eventful weekend. Went to a dance on Saturday and didn't get back til 3am! So fun. And it was especially fun because I went with the right group of people. (Friends from my spanish class.)
Speaking of Spanish class, at first it looked like I might not be able to continue with the series for a little while; how sad!! But the prof might move the time, so then it'll fit in my schedule and I can take it. I hope she does! But it will be a pity that we have a new prof, an American. Tal fulana, who knows. Wah, I like my current prof, she's nice, has an off sense of humor and is very color-coordinated. haha
Well I have to go to class. :-P <--my joy
