Well I finished finals on Monday, but I'm just as hectic as when I was trying to get my part of the spanish play together.
First of all, I got the job with the Burke (touring little kids in spanish). I'm so happy! I'll be working with Norma, a friend of mine from my hispanic group of friends.
On a more solemn note, I also got the Suzzallo job. The boss, though a nice guy, seems to have trouble communicating with me. So I have to go back to campus to straighten that out. :P Which actually turns out to be okay because I have to go back to talk with Norma and Diane about the Burke thing.
On an unrelated note, but still related to the Burke and other jobs, we're finally getting back on track with the paper. Not only that but I may get two papers out of this whole mess. It's freshwater after all. Not only that, but it's freshwater, AND widely distributed. So it's more significant that just a piddley Puyallup River thing; it was found in Wyoming as well.
I'm kind of bummed I don't yet have a break; today I had to go to the dentist, then we went shopping for clothes (fun but not exactly relaxing). Tomorrow I'll be spending most of the day either on campus or on a bus, and then Friday I'll be doing some gardening with my mom for my friend that comes on Friday evening. Phew. Then we get to take her around this part of the Pacific Northwest (Bainbridge, Pike Place, campus, etc). It will all be fun, but like I've said, I'll need a vacation from my vacation. ;)
